SO CLOSE. This day finishes up my workweek and then tomorrow Drew arrives and it’s my first real day off work in zillions of hours and I can’t wait for the long, unbroken respite of friendship chitchat and relaxation.
Drew and I saw each other just a few months ago in Paris but we were traveling with other folks and it’s different when there’s a whole group. There’s something so effortless about having a stretch of unbroken time together to chat and scheme and talk about all the topics. Oh and make vision boards. Be aware that if you show up at my house we’re gluing paper to a posterboard while sloshing some gin & tonics and living our best lives and all that jazz.
Hopefully he’s going to teach me to crochet while he’s here, too. I want to learn how to make this crochet bowl I saw in a restaurant in Helsinki:
Also of course BEFORE the relaxation can begin, I have a million projects to finish and that includes the guest room curtains and last minute cleaning and tidying and at some point I’d love to get the cat off this yarn so I can finish a hat but I am merely a mortal.
