People who don’t have cats will never understand the AMAZING level of help offered by feline companionship. Paper bags never go without a thorough investigation. Boxes get the same tough scrutiny. Clothes never get folded without first being inspected, rolled on, and scrutinized for the napping properties.
Packing for Sweden today, I have a LOT of help. Frankie is on my clothes, in my bags, discovering lost hair ties in the dark corners of my backpack.
Also, here in Los Angeles it is a sunny 75 degree day. It looks closer to 36F in Stockholm. I don’t even know what 36 means. Today at work I asked Tom if human beings can survive in 27 degree weather. Tom, who is from Michigan, laughed so hard he is still probably in a corner somewhere talking about the crazy lady at the California movie studio.
Today: Feeling happy about the trip, but work is still insanely busy. It was Peggy’s birthday and I didn’t realize she was stopping by the office so I slipped out at lunchtime I got her a really chocolaty cake.
