Well, I love it. As you can tell because I am smiling so much I lost my eyes!
When El Capitan first told me he wanted to learn knitting, I figured he would learn to knit a row or two and be on his way. But he really likes knitting! And he is VERY good at it. He got his tension and yarn holding situation situated on day three or four — that took me months when I first learned to knit.
Every morning I get up and check the weather forecast for our next trip destination, just hoping it gets cold enough so I can wear this lovely handmade scarf on our travels. I might add some cute pompoms to the bottom, but I also like the edgy, raw nature of Furisode so I may leave it simple.
- Noro “Furisode” in Color #9
- Size 10.5 Needles
- Cast on 25 stitches
- Knit your heart out for six feet!
The Captain has already started his next project — he decided on a scarf, as he wants to make a gift for his mom and she’s not a hat person. He selected the most beautiful Noro Taiyo yarn from the stash closet. I have a feeling that if he keeps this up he will be out-knitting me in no time flat. He’s a natural at it! ♥
