Folderizing my photos is a real thing

Folderizing my photos is a real thing

(The photo for this entry is titled “Why do I have a picture of traffic from 2014 still saved on my phone?”)

iPhoto — now just Photos — slurps in all my pictures but makes it impossible for me to sort and categorize in folders. Because I have not had the time/energy/interest/attention span to find a solution, I have been using my camera as my default storage center to the tune of 24, 187 photos (!!)

Not sure how it has taken me this long to discover Image Capture, a free program in the utilities section of the trusty old macbook pro. Nonetheless, like a ruby red slipper, it was there the whole time. I hooked my phone to my laptop and easily copied over all 24, 187 (!!) photos and now I can organize, folderize and catalog them to my heart’s desire.

Image Capture solved my import problem, but not my categorization situation. If anyone out there in the future when I actually tell people about this here website knows of a good app for categorizing photos on the mac, let me know. Photos won’t allow me to drag and drop into photoshop and for that is dead to me.

Today: Talked to Drew on the phone and as usual we solved all the world’s problems. I’m really into homemade tuna salad sandwiches for every meal right now.  The Captain and I walked almost three miles tonight after work!

Famous Last Words

"Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?"

Right now I am …

Starting to take some of the improvements from the guest room and add them to my bedroom, like this cool power outlet for the bedside table. I’m hoping it helps with the constant problem of needing to charge all devices simultaneously.

Still obsessing over Sew Over It and Lisa Comfort, the lady boss behind it all. Here is her site, YouTube vlog, and Insta. I bought pretty much every pattern they have during the recent 30% off sale.

Currently reading The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. I need this book to help me but I don’t have enough time to read this book because I’m working nonstop, so…

Interested in these silica gel packets for my yarn stash. Does anyone out there add these to ziplock baggies of yarn?

Why do guys go to bars to meet women? Go to Target. There's like 10 women to each man and they're already there looking for things they don't need.
