1) This is Sunday, the day I should be happily sleeping in late and dreaming of conquering foreign lands and cheeseburgers. Instead, I was wide awake at 3:30 am and decided to use that as an opportunity to update the theme files for this here website. Two cups of coffee and eleventy-nine support tickets later, I managed to break and re-fix my site so… job well done?
2) The countdown is on: Only three days until Drew arrives! Most of my tasks are done, I just have to hem the curtains for the guest room and decide what to do with the one bin of yarn that won’t fit in the designated yarn area. In the past (read: “one month ago”) it might have stayed on the floor of the guest room but now it needs a permanent home or it can’t live here. The captain is going to help me put the new rug in there today and then… is that it? Am I actually done? Amazing.
3) After many months of writing and re-teaching myself some CSS and writing some more, I think it may be time to finally let someone know I even have a site. I hope people like it. I love making it! Also now I can go back and see how many stitches to cast on for a perfect hat using Noro Taiyo which is secretly the reason I want a site anyway, it’s all about hat patterns and my inability to remember basic math.
4) I just noticed the temperature at this ridiculous hour is 67 degrees F in Studio City, same as the high temp in Copenhagen. That is why I was standing outside just now in my pajamas in case you were wondering. We leave for Denmark soon enough and I can’t decide if I will need a coat. Yes, the fine folks of that nation will be out and about in shorts and bikini tops, but this California blood of mine thinks 67 is downright autumnal.
August is already turning out to be a busy and fun month. Maybe that’s why I can’t sleep? My mind wants me to be awake for all the things on my to-do list.
