We arrived late and stayed up a bit late getting cleaned up and settled and drinking wine and congratulating ourselves on picking such a beautiful Airbnb apartment and then fell into a deep sleep like bears for the winter. Hi Stockholm, we are hibernating.
Today we woke up so late that it was already afternoon and as I pondered the breakfast muffins our hostess had left for us, I realized there was something soft and white blowing gently through the air outside the kitchen window.
It took a moment. Or two. Maybe six. Then I sprinted to wake up the captain because OMIGAWD GUESS WHAT IT IS SNOWING!!!
IT IS SNOWING!!!!
We got dressed and ran outside and I took about 47 photos before we had even left the garden of the apartment because DID I MENTION IT IS SNOWING. This is only the fourth time I have ever seen snow fall from the sky and it is glorious. The captain is the same, he was born and raised in Southern California and snow is just as weird and foreign to him as it is to me.
Well we had a big old time. We walked down the street in a for-sure blizzard. We rode a bus so we could walk down some other streets. We took pictures and I made some high-larious videos and all in all I am sure it was very entertaining to all the Swedish people of Stockholm to watch these two dumbasses from Los Angeles try to make snow angels in four snowflakes.
Today: This is what happiness feels like.
