I am writing this to you from the Oneworld lounge inside the Bradley International Terminal at LAX, which is where these lovely martinis appeared. And just like that, I’m in a vacation state of mind!
There is also a man in a formal suit walking around in here with a cart of piping hot fresh french fries, so if I have died I’m in heaven, do not cry for me Argentina.
Packing went pretty well, I had plenty of help in the form of one Frankie D. Perry.
The Captain had a crazy week, even crazier than mine, and he had to pack a few days early. I love that this trip involves Dracula socks and fake teeth and yup, we are going to Transylvania!
Now to post this and head off to the gate and get on the plane. It’s a British Airways flight and it’s one of those double-decker planes, so I am nervous and excited all at the same time. We fly to Heathrow and then have a small layover and then off to Bucharest. This will be the easternmost I have traveled and it’s going to be an adventure. Plus the weather is going to be COOL and you know I am excited to wear all the hand knit things. It’s been 105+ degrees every day this week and I am ready for some crisp, fall weather and morning shivers and steaming hot mugs of something or other.
We both did carry-on luggage again this trip, but I always find that a little harder with winter clothes. I barely have an inch to spare in the wheelie bag, so I may again be shoving yarn in my coat pockets for the trip home. That’s a high class problem and I would be happy to have it 🙂
