It’s Paris O’Clock Somewhere

February 12, 2017
Leaving LAX for Paris
Leaving LAX for Paris

It became somewhat hilarious to watch the Captain stand patiently in the living room at the absolute buttcrack of dawn while I zipped around in a last-minute frenzy blur of activity.  I’m so used to doing all my travels alone that I don’t really think much about my routines and habits. Being observed by another human gives me the opportunity to see my life through his lens. His lens sees a blonde lady dressed all in black who must go from room to room and cannot leave this house until all the fluffy cat blankets are laid out JUST SO.

Et voila! We made it to the airport, everything was fine at LAX, we made it on the plane, we made it to Philadelphia.

Layover in Philadelphia

Layover in Philadelphia

Hello, Philadelphia. This was my first time in you. I enjoyed your airport snacks.

The long journey across the pond began with an excellent flight attendant who served us white wine in water glasses and gave a VERY generous pour. As you can see in the image below, we trés enjoyed our time in the air. We may have had multiple refills on this journey and at some point the Captain put on a shadow puppet show for me and as it turns out we are downright Broadway material.

Shadow puppets! For when you run out of in-flight entertainment.

That is Le Hilarious, no? Only a zillion more miles to go…

Famous Last Words

"Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?"

Right now I am …

Starting to take some of the improvements from the guest room and add them to my bedroom, like this cool power outlet for the bedside table. I’m hoping it helps with the constant problem of needing to charge all devices simultaneously.

Still obsessing over Sew Over It and Lisa Comfort, the lady boss behind it all. Here is her site, YouTube vlog, and Insta. I bought pretty much every pattern they have during the recent 30% off sale.

Currently reading The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. I need this book to help me but I don’t have enough time to read this book because I’m working nonstop, so…

Interested in these silica gel packets for my yarn stash. Does anyone out there add these to ziplock baggies of yarn?
